Besides the release and the welcome response, one of the best parts of my week so far has been looking at blog stats. No, I'm not a math nerd (though I did take and actually pass calculus) plus numbers don't usually make my day. And in this case, it wasn't the statistical data that got me all excited anyway. No, instead, I got a little giddy when I saw the search terms that led people to my blog. Why? Because, someone Googled whether there was a book two following Edge of Mercy. Did you hear that? Someone out there wants to know if the series continues.
Well, I'm here to tell you that indeed it does. Heart of Mercy is the next book in the Mercy Series and it is well underway. I'm going to be honest though. I've been so busy this week trying to get word out about Edge of Mercy, I've not met my writing goals on Heart of Mercy. So, this is my promise to you. I will finish this book and the final one before 2012 ends. My goal is to have Heart of Mercy out by the end of September and Escape from Mercy out by the end of November.
The funny thing is that search stream for the next book in the series motivated me to get back to the keyboard in a way nothing else ever has, so if you feel so inclined, drop me an occasional e-mail, comment here on the blog, basically bug me as much as you can to write these books. I know you're going to love this story, so I've got to get it on paper (or screen, as the case may be). With that said, I'm going to get back to typing.
Happy Reading and Writing,
C. C.
Yes, you need to get your Butt in Chair and finish it. I have more to say on that (as I read it over the past weekend) and I'm eager for the next one!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Taryn. That's exactly what I need. I worked on it last night, and I'm setting up a no interruption (except for blood or unconsciousness) schedule for the family. I'll keep everybody updated on how that goes.
ReplyDeleteWhen oh when will Heart Of Mercy come out? I had a dream about it last night and am restless to start reading! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for writting such a magnificent story!
