I am so excited to be participating in the "Feed Your Reader E-books Giveaway," hosted by I Am a Reader, not a Writer. Enter to win one of three copies of Edge of Mercy, by completing one or more entries on the Rafflecopter at the bottom of this post. Good luck! I'm also participating in the E-Reader Giveaway. You'll find the rafflecopter for that at the bottom of the post.
Edge of Mercy is a dystopian suspense novel about a girl disguised as a boy, hiding in a community of survivors, defending her sister and herself from the hideous monsters outside the community, as well as, the human ones inside.
Writing this story got the old noggin' thinking about the things I would miss if the world ever did go "goat-poop crazy." So here are my Top Ten Things I'd Miss in the Event of the End of the World. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to pick up a FREE copy of the story that inspired it all--"Mercy." It's free at Amazon, BN, and Kobo. You can click on the cover to the right of this post to download it to your Kindle.

DeleteWhat would I miss? Hmmm. Tough one. My life. It's not perfect but I have everything I need - family. Books. And a lot of things :D
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are very blessed!
DeleteI think my camera and hot showers!
ReplyDeleteCamera and pictures would be so missed!
DeleteI'd miss being able to go down to the grocery store and pick up a chocolate bar. Otherwise, I think I could handle most anything. I already raise chickens and have a garden, the neighbor has plenty of cattle, and I own a knife and a gun.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! The convenience of a grocery story!
DeleteI would miss being able to shop without having to worry about crazies or zombies or whatever caused the end of the world.
ReplyDeleteYep, that's why I avoid the stores during Black Friday. There are plenty of crazies and a few zombies around then.
DeleteI would miss internet, my phone, and BOOKS....most importantly books :)
ReplyDeleteConsidering two corner bookshelves in my bedroom are filled to bursting with books, and I currently own three e-readers, I totally get your heart for books.
DeleteI'd miss my tablet!
ReplyDeleteYep, now it really is confession time. Despite the three e-readers I own, the family has an I-Pad, too. The only thing I would definitely miss with that though is Supernatural on Netflix.
DeleteI know I would miss the internet, air conditioning, frozen mochas, and my books.
ReplyDeleteYou said it! I whole-heartedly agree!
DeleteGosh, I can't imagine my life any other way than it is right now. I would miss ALL the luxuries! I am spoiled when it comes to them. I would have never made it before electricity and all the great inventions since then!
ReplyDeleteI would miss my books, air conditioning, internet, games, movies... basically every modern thing that there is right now, haha.
ReplyDeleteI would miss the Internet and going to college!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I'm looking forward to reading some new eBooks in this hop!

ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic question! It's one I will probably be thinking about alot now. Off the top of my head, some of the things I would miss the most if it were the end of the world would be: BOOKS!! sweet tea! showers and money/shopping. ReplyDeleteAah, you certainly brought up the things of the heart we'd all miss. So very true.
DeleteMy husband. Sitting around the pool on my computer, reading a book or taking photographs.
ReplyDeleteEverything!!!
ReplyDeleteScience fiction conventions.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely hot showers and new books.
ReplyDeleteIf the world ended, I wouldn't know. So, I guess I'd miss my life.
